The goal of the 5th and 6th grade Travel program is to continue to develop each girl's fundamental skills while introducing competitive play through a mix of intramural and travel games. Girls will play all positions to develop an understanding of the total game, working as a team and reaching individual and group goals while continuing to foster a love of the sport. Players new to the sport are encouraged to register as well.
The 5th and 6th grade players are assigned to grade level or mixed teams, depending on the number of players registered for the season and the overall needs of the program. Practices are twice a week.
Games are held on the weekends and schedules will be confirmed closer to the season.
The season will be begin the week of August 25th ~ November 1st.

Grades 5th & 6th Details:
Practices: Historically practices have been held on Mondays and Thursdays from 6:00 - 7:00pm. *We are planning this again for Fall 2025 but schedule is subject to change based on Parks and Rec and turf availability. Practices will begin the week of August 25th.

Games: Held on weekends, both home and away
Program Cost: Early Bird before June 15th - $400.00; After June 15th - $450.00
Coaching: WYFH Coaches
Required Equipment: Field Hockey Stick, mouth guard and shin guards are mandatory to participate, water and appropriate footwear.
Uniforms: Required for games: shirt, skort, white socks and blue socks;
Required for practices: reversible pinnie with WYFH logo
